WHAT IS VALUE EDUCATION?
Educating the children by giving good values and morals, so that they not only become good in academics but as a person their character should be good .The meaning of Value Education is to teach universal values or moral values like patience, honesty, truthfulness etc, to the students. Value-based education is essential to develop an individual and help him/her lifelong in many ways: It gives a positive direction to the students to shape their future and even helps them to know the purpose of their life. Value education also helps the students to become more and more responsible and sensible. Value-based education lays emphasis on the personality development of individuals in order to shape their future and tackle difficult situations with ease. It moulds the children so they get attuned to changing scenarios while handling their social, moral, and democratic duties efficiently. Value education in another word can be described as “Character Education” or “Moral Education”. It is an education where learners learn value from educators and implement them in future to lead a better life, the life of humanity and the thing that value most is your character. Value Education means teaching and learning of ideals. The aim is for students to understand moral values and show their good behaviour and attitude towards society. In today’s world, there is crime increasing day by day instead of literacy rate. The benefits like patience, honesty, tolerance and sympathy are the extreme values for education. This will enhance the student’s positive attitude instead of a negative attitude.
